Sometimes, I find myself with an intense infatuation for a process, a person, or in this case both. When I walked up on this candy shop, that I have walked past hundreds of times, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee The candy maker gave me pause. His demeanor, intense stare, and posture did something to me. I don’t know what it was, maybe the fact that what is so normal to him was so special to others.

Needless to say I wanted to capture these photos to remember that any craft, as normal as it is to its creator, is special to others.
